The company needed the ability to quickly create a solution for the customer and ensure a valid and complete package. Also need to have a formal, standardized way to quote customers/prospects on provided Products & Services.

Developed a SmartConnect Sales Order tool which was based on PeopleSoft CRM that was enhanced and customized to meet business requirements for company. In order to provide an end-to-end sales process, users will create a Quote to bridge from the Lead/Opportunity stage into a Sales Order.The Quote is the centerpiece of the Order Management process, linking the agent and customer information gathered on the Opportunity together with the product data selected via several sales tools on the Quote.

The system incorporates:
  • XML integration to populate Order Line details;
  • Quote & Order GUI;
  • Designed Guided Selling Tool (Intelligent Product Advisor);
  • Data export/import;
Technologies Used: Weblogic 6.1, JavaScript, HTML, Peoplesoft CRM 8.8, Configurator, Stat 4.2, PeopleTools 8.42, Oracle 9i.
